Re: It`s Snow Fun
Hey guys, welcome to our world. It gives you a greater appreciation of how lucky you are most of the time to be able to drive those beloved Vettes all year long. On the bright side you should be back out on the road enjoying sunny warm days long before us. Don't forget to wave while you shovel.- Top

Re: It`s Snow Fun
Geezer here. Wayne, our weatherman has a daughter at Duke, so we get frequent updates about RDU. His last report was something like 17" there. BTW, our first-born son-and-heir (the one wwho informed me that my silver anniversary, with the tag QWIK-AG, would easily do 100mph) also did his undergraduate degrees there, so we stay interested in the area and the fate of the Blue Devils hoops teams. Also, I have had contracts from EPA at RTP (and downtown Raleigh) since 1970, so I have had a long-standing visitation there. I can't imagine that you have any snow-removal equipment worth mentioning, so a snow like that must really tie up the works.- Top

12" to 18" according to official weather report in Matthews, NC. No power, long distance appears to be out. No heat. No hot water. I feel like I am visiting New Hill, NC. Don't say we don't get our share of bad weather in NC.Founder - Carolinas Chapter NCRS- Top

Re: It`s Snow Fun
You guys must be kidding. I don't want to play 'can you top this', but a guy I knew in central Switzerland last year actually had to get out his second story window with snowshoes on. In one town in the canton of Valais, they had snow trenches eight feet deep. Thank God I wasn't there. Snow is pretty on Christmas cards but I'm glad it's there and not here (at least yet). Bill- Top

For Us, its Rain
Couldn't help myself for jumpin' here, but it actually RAINED here in So CA. yesterday! Up to that point we've only had .12 (that's point one two for folks that might miss the little dot) inches since July 1, 1999 (thats the "official" start of our "rainy" season).
Not very good for the greenry but sure makes owning a Vette a heck of a lota fun!
Don
P.S. I'd trade a couple weeks of sunny weather for some good old country roads to cruise on (miss my Maryland/PA country drives).- Top
